With Lucy's Delirium & Abby Mboquet
Desert Island Big Band:
Perspective speaks volumes. Stranded on a desert island, one can embrace the freedom of solitude, or fear the weight of isolation. The Desert Island Big Band bridges that gap by acknowledging that perspectives ebb and flow like the tide; that drowning and drying off can happen in the same place. There is no one way to look at something. This is evident in the production of DIBB's music — often blending gritty, broken, distorted sounds with beautiful, emotive textures that borrow from a wide variety of genres resulting in a sound that is uniquely theirs.
Lucy's Delirium:
We’re Lucy’s Delirium, a Montreal band of four playing bratty songs inspired by late 90’s rock bands like the Breeders and Veruca Salt. Since forming our group in 2022, we’ve written 11 original songs and released a single called ‘Mr. Tv’ in 2023. At our live shows we love to dance, jump, cry and yell, whilst encouraging a safe and inclusive space, and think our melodic and wild sound will enchant the audience.
Abby Mboquet:
Ottawa born artist Abby Mboquet has been making her way in the ottawa scene with her emotive melancholic acoustic performances. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Phoebe Bridgers, Julia Jacklin, and Adrianne Lenker, her music combines raw emotion with creative melodies.
