Join us for an inspiring lunch with Joanne Rogers, ommunity leader, retired Justice of the Peace, and formerly the First Female Chief of Aamjiwnaang First Nation!

The Speakers Series profiles successful women who speak candidly about their careers and the challenges and triumphs in their personal journey towards successful leadership.

Joanne Rogers is a member and life long resident of Aamjiwnaang First Nation, formerly Chippewas of Sarnia. She is currently a Band Councillor for her community of Aamjiwnaang. Joanne was appointed a Justice of the Peace for the Province of Ontario in 1993 until 2014 when she retired.  She was elected as Aamjiwnaang’s First Female Chief in 2016-2018 and also the first from her community to serve on the Sarnia Police Services Boad from 2018-2021.
