Featuring Parliament of Owls, James Leclaire, & Christine Graves

Parliament of Owls:
Canadian Folk Rock Artist Wade Barras has lived a number of different lives in a relatively short period of time. Releasing his melodic offerings under the alias Parliament of Owls, Barras is ready now more than ever to start sharing his stories with the world at large. Armed with a groove heavy acoustic guitar and sharp, gravel-coated lyrics, Parliament of Owls music is certain to play in your head on repeat!

James Leclaire:
From fist pumping, stomp your feet workingman anthems to soulful ballads of love, heartache and loss; James' songs are all about storytelling. Intensely thought-out lyrics grind through James' raspy vocal chords with powerful emotion to produce rich, dark imagery that can really punch you in the heart. Over the past 3 yrs, James has been in the studio working on a batch of 37 songs recorded. Some of these tracks feature the musical talent of guitarist/mandolinist Kevin Breit (Norah Jones), drummer Ed Toth(Doobie Brothers), Juno nominee guitarist/pianist John Fraser Findlay, harmonicist Mickey Raphael (Nelson/Stapleton/Dylan/Young), and other amazing local musicians. James released the first single from this batch in Aug 2023, and is continuing to release a new single each month.

Christine Graves:
Award winning songwriter, Christine Graves returns to touring and performing music with a new LP release called Everyday Life. During the pandemic, working in a mental health hospital brought Graves back to recording in studio as an avenue to joy, building her self-belief in her gift of making music. From 2006 to 2008, Graves was artistic director at Blue Skies Music Festival. She released four independent CD’s from 1995 to 2006 and toured Canada extensively. Graves has performed festival stages with Buffy Sainte-Marie, Blacksheep Inn stage with Feist, and played living rooms from Newfoundland to Vancouver Island. Her songs are contemporary folk, personal and political art without the lecture. Her voice is remarkable.
